Iqra School is committed to providing the best learning support for all children including those identified with special learning needs. The school provides supported learning programmes that work toward addressing barriers to learning for those most in need. 
 
We have resourcing funded by the Ministry of Education and the Board.  
 
Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and Team leaders are responsible for our learning support programmes. Parents with children on special needs programmes receive regular communication and have opportunities to discuss their concerns with the classroom teacher, team leader or SENCO. 
 

Students who require support with English will be supported through a number of approaches such as:

• Targeted support and/or curriculum programmes led by the classroom teacher
• Teacher aide support
• Specialist classroom programmes
• External agencies
• Leaders of learning support mentors
