Assalamu Alaikum Everyone,
I hope this message finds you well today.
Reflecting on the past two years as Principal of Iqra School, I am filled with immense gratitude for how warm, welcoming, and dedicated this community continues to be. Since joining in Term Three two years ago, following a wonderful transition alongside Dr. Stephen Kendall-Jones, it has been an absolute privilege to lead and grow alongside our incredible students, hard-working teachers, specialized staff, and supportive Board of Trustees.
Drawing on my two decades of experience in educational leadership—including my time at ACG Sunderland School and St. Cuthbert’s College—my passion for primary education, commitment to inclusivity, and dedication to raising student progress remain at the heart of everything I do. Over these past two years, it has been immensely rewarding to see our shared values in action and to watch our students thrive within the unique special character that makes Iqra School so extraordinary.
Thank you to all our parents, caregivers, and community members for your ongoing support, engagement, and collaboration. Together, we continue to cultivate a nurturing, respectful, and enriching environment where every student can succeed.

Assalamu Alaikum and Kia Ora Koutou, IQRA School formerly known as IQRA Elementary is a state-integrated area school catering to students from year 1 to year 8. IQRA was established in 2016 by our proprietors Algoritmi Educational Trust.
We are focused on providing quality education by developing our own IQRA special character curriculum. The IQRA special character curriculum is made up of Islamic Studies, Quran and Arabic Language intertwined through the New Zealand Curriculum and the learning context. We also have formal Quran and Arabic language lessons.
We look forward to working with all of you on the journey to making our school a leading Islamic School in New Zealand that ensures our students stay connected with our faith, languages, cultures and strong heritage.

Assalamu Alaikum Parents,
A reminder regarding tomorrow’s production:
Please ensure that all students are picked up after school at the usual time. Students should go home, and return to school by 5:45 pm, fully dressed and ready for the production.
Students will not be able to remain at school between the end of the school day and 5:45 pm, so please make arrangements for your child to be collected and brought back.

Dear Parents and Caregivers of Room 11 and 12,
A pink iPhone 15 was lost at school on Tuesday, September 8.
Could you please check at home to see if it was picked up by mistake? If found, please return it to the classroom teacher or the main office as soon as possible so we can get it back to its owner. Please know that the school does not allow cellphone usage at school. We appreciate your help with this.

Please be advised that general ticket sales for the Senior Production (Years 6 to 8) is now officially closed.
If you still need to purchase production tickets for the show, please visit the main school reception. Our administrative staff will be happy to assist you with booking seats and taking payment in person. Please note that any remaining production tickets are strictly limited and will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
