Mission
The mission of Iqra Elementary School is to provide each student, in partnership with families and the wider Muslim community, an education that meets the academic, physical, social and emotional need of students based on New Zealand curriculum and including Quran, Arabic and Islamic studies.
Iqra Elementary students will receive an education that prepares them for success in further education to prepare them to become adults who will succeed and contribute responsibly and ably in a global community.

Year 7 and 8
The proposed year 7 and 8 classes will likely be separated, a class for boys and a class for girls. As these classes are an intermediate level, subjects taught will include a variety of technology studies, social studies, P.E and sports, as well as the regular core curriculum subjects including Arabic, Islamic studies, and Quran. There will also be a Jumu’ah prayer on Fridays.
If you are interested in enrolling your child into our Year 7 and 8 classes in 2021, please fill out the Expression of interest form and email it to: aisha.zalat@iqraelementary.school.nz by 30th August 2020. Confirmation of enrolment will be emailed by the end of term 3, 25th September 2020.
After receiving confirmation of acceptance, attendance fees for 1 term, $250, must be paid by December 2020 to secure your child’s placement.
Start date in 2021 is 1st February 2021.
