Our murals theme this term was Created for a purpose.

This term our focus was the living world therefore students wanted this reflected in our mural. We wanted to stay away from animals and humans and we wanted to focus on plants as we enjoyed planting and watching our own plans grow in the school hall.  We then looked at plants from an Islamic perspectives, students were surprised to learn that plants communicated and felt just like all other living things. Then the idea of having two plants came about. In Islamic studies we also learnt the importance of greeting one another, and when we found an image reflecting this the whole class agreed that they liked this image and that we wanted it to be our mural.

Our final mural shows two different trees on the surface, however underground the roots are intertwined like two hands greeting each other.
